Introduction
:
at the beginning of the 19th century, Earth's
southernmost continent maps hadn't been completed yet.
Numerous were the hypothetis made about the existence of
this land. In 1820, this hiterto unknown territory was
finally discovered.
Afterward, several expeditions were led (among which
some resulted in injury and death) to gain a better
knowledge of this territory made of ice. Two centuries
later, this continent was declared "devoted to peace and
science". Beyond its captivating history, Antartica has
always attracted because all nature's colors are here
and well-balanced even if they are all mixed together.
The one who penetrate this place feels his soul rising.
