Antarctic Sound

The passage that is the Antarctic Sound and the Strait Antarctic, marks the link between Bransfield Sea and the Weddell, on one side and the other of the Antarctic Peninsula.
The Antarctic spelling with a "c" at the end and not "that" is just as it is the name of the ship used by the Swedish expedition led by Otto Nordenskjöld in 1902 under the command of Anthony Carles Larsen.
But on February 15, Strait was blocked by a large number of icebergs and dense ice does not allow access Weddell Sea. So we stayed a few hours to wander through the maze absolutely magical ice with a leopard seal, killer whale and a few even for a split second, an Emperor Penguin. For this last trip of the season, the Weddell Sea has made so shy ... See you next year.
