No need to go to the other side of the world to be amazed ... Sometimes all it takes to enter into a place full of little creatures that greet you happily. We started well, the time of the day, to meet the "little penguins Cheylas" ... That's how we are nicknamed now, yet they are far from penguins! ... They had already worked before our visit and on arrival it was a "was full of questions! "Echoing in the room. It began well. Very attentive to the images that passed before them and the comments made, they did have questions, but already knew a lot of answers! For each question they were asked, it's a bunch of arms that rose! Almost impossible to count them as there was! They had learned their lesson really well and it was already a good lesson ...
Throughout the day, these little penguins continued to amaze us with everything they knew and what they still wanted to know. And finally, they had not prepared a gift: a book on "Samuel wintering in Adelie Land," highly original, with text, drawings and photos, and pulled to its recipient a "Cow! "That delights the meeting. These little penguins there had undoubtedly earned their "taste polar"! Yes, a snack polar manchotières generously done in the vicinity. You do not know the "taste polar"? So it will take to be back on the side of Cheylas meet these little creatures that greet you happily, finally he left, the taste! ...

May 18, 2009, this is an exciting day spent in school ... and yes! A school of Chartreuse Cheylas with 21 students in CP-CE1. After meeting with these children in the fall of 2008, I'm back in the classroom for my delight. The day began with a presentation of my photos from my last Antarctic season, then we have a set of seven families and it was already time to leave us. The afternoon was mainly devoted to the questions / answers with the children, was followed by a "taste polar" gargantuan prepared by parents particularly inspired. We ended the day in the yard with a snakes and ladders "polar" (of course).
Then the children wanted to thank you for your invitation, I think that this day of 18 May you enjoy. Me anyway I was delighted to pass with you and I can not stop thinking about it. I wanted to congratulate you for all your work, your research, your articles, your website (address at the end of this article) ... A very big thank you to your mistress Natasha, as she prepared many things on his side, congratulations parents for a great taste, and sorry if it's about at home too penguin, ice and Shackleton ...
I leave to the next level this summer and I think many of you will ask me questions about this new blog. Things are also gearing up with your mistress for the next year, but it's a secret ...
When I think of your radiant faces, your smiles, so many questions that if I had the answer all I'll be there again, I have only one desire: to see you!
See you soon and wish you a day to see the polar regions with your own eyes ...
The website of the school Cheylas is available here .
